New Building Project

For some time now the Croydon Potters House Church has outgrown its current facilities, having double services Sunday AM to accommodate growth. As a result we have been working very hard trying to source suitable premises.

Several months ago we identified a number of properties and proceeded to obtain planning permission for change of use to 'a place of worship', which we did successfully in August this year.

Our new building allows us triple the capacity of our current site and has a car park, with unrestricted parking in nearby roads. The increase size will provide bigger and more comfortable classrooms, offices and auditorium that can seat over 750 people in comfort.

The last 4 months we have been busily fulfilling building regulation requirements & renovating the site for our use. Some of the works include

1). Plaster boarding, taping & jointing & painting over 1000 sq/m of walls.

2). Painting over 600 sq/m of ceilings.

3). Producing numerous fire exits & lobbies with a 1 hour fire rating.

4). Building numerous offices / classrooms witha 1 hour fire rating.

5). Building new toilets (11 female w.c's, 4 male w.c's & 7 urinals).

6). Complete new electrical wiring throughout.

7). Upgrading the existing fire alarm system.

8). Installing a new shop front entrance.

9). 12,000 sq/ft of New contract carpet.

10). Sound insulation

On Sunday 4th December 2011 we will be having a 'Fundraiser' to help resource of vision of Reaching people, Raising disciples & Releasing ministry. So far estimates for this work are in excess of one hundred & fifty thousand pounds.

Thursday December 1st 2011 we held our prayer meeting at the new building.

Please pray for the neccessary resources to come in.
