Baptism November 2011

30 of our young people have just returned from a weeks camp in Birmingham, excited and full of the Holy Ghost, long may it last.

There are two very important Baptism's that take place Post Salvation, one is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Matt 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, Acts 1:5, Acts 11:16), the other is Water Baptism. Once again we were blessed to witness a number of New Christians take this step of faith and Obedience Sunday 29th May 2011.

What a day Sunday the 15th May was!! We had a packed house to witness, the exchanging of vows and the life long committment made by Femi & Kemi to each other. Their testimony of moral purity was a challenge to us all as we were reminded that 'its Great to Wait'.

Sunday 27th March was an 'Amazing day' great fellowship with the saints in the morning and in the evening we started revival with Pastor Ernie Toppin. to top it all off we had a believers baptism, with Fourteen precious people making a 'public declaration' of their faith.

Sunday 20th March was a great day, in that we 'witnessed Henry & Kirsty' being joined together in Holy Matrimony. Our 2nd Service (11:30pm) was packed to capacity, with several people giving their lives to Christ.

Sunday 13th March 2011, we celebrated the Church's 10th year Anniversary as well as Pastor Clement's birthday. It was a great day with a FULL house and a wonderfully inspiring video showing some of the snippets of the last 10yrs.

Sunday 27th Feb 2011 we had our 2nd Believers Baptism of the year. We rejoice as 14 precious Christians openly professed their faith and obedience (Matt 28:18-20).

we recently held our annual Singles Banquet with guest speaker Pst Ayo Akinyemi. It was a great night with prizes for best dressed man & woman, Impersonations by Antonio, a 'Blind date' style gameshow and a Q&A session with Pst Clement Okusi.

What a wonderful Sunday we had on the 28th November 2010! started new preaching series '5 tests of Abraham' and in the evening preached on 'Prodigals & Backsliders'. Then to top it off we had a beleivers baptism and baptised six precious young christians.

Sunday 29th Aug was another powerful sunday with messages on 'Envy' & 'Discipleship the Impartation of spirit'. The day was capped off with baptising several more new christians.

We recently hosted our 1st ever 'Harvesters Homecoming' where we had our daughter churches from Sutton, Lewisham, Streatham, Merton, Harlesden (brent) & Kilburn return with powerful reports of what is happening in their cities.

For the 5th consecutive year we hosted the drama 'Heaven's Gates & Hell's Flames', a thought provoking drama that looks at the reality of Heaven & Hell, and the eternal consequence of peoples choices.

With a cast of fifty members from our church, along with costumes and special effects, the drama organised by reality ministries ran for 3 nights. At the end of each performance an invitation is given to anyone who wishes to respond and in total 44 people prayed to receive Jesus into their hearts and lives.

Wow, what a Wednesday we have just had! Tonight was the night we broke our 72hr fast as we were praying for a number of needs especially our forthcoming drama 'Heavens Gates & Hell's Flames'. We had loads of pizza's which were devoured very quickly ;-) and to top it all off, Brother Henry, proposed to Sister Kirsty, wow fasting really works eh? enjoy pictures below.

Wow, what a Sunday (25th July 2010) we have just had!! Just coming off the back of a Sunday - Friday revival with Evangelist Marty (mighty) Carnegie, followed by saturday outreach, I wasn't sure how tired the Church would be on Sunday? But once against the saints showed a tremendous energy for the things of God. I started a new preaching series entitled the 3I's of discipleship, preaching on the need for christians to be Involved in the Local Church and beyond. We also baptised 12 people and it was Tinashe & Femi's last service as they leave to pioneer a work for God in Kilburn, NW London.

Big thank you to everyone for their faithfull attendance.

We are very please with the privilige and responsibility of pastoring many married couples in our community. One notable statistic is that every couple that has ever been married in our church history is still married! when you compare this with the statistic that 50% of all marriages end in Divorce in the first 5yrs, we thank God for his grace to live out the christian life in the 21st Century.

I think there are 3 components that have helped us:

1). Personal holiness, overtime of all couples that we marry.

2). Pre marriage counselling and regular marital sermons.

3). Annual Marriage seminars.

On the 16th & 17th July we hosted our annual marriage seminars, where 20+ couples spent 2 nights at a 5 star hotel, where Pastor Okusi & Ajala ministered timely messages. One the highlights of the seminars were the discovering of each spouse's 'love language' ;-)

On the 30th May 2010 at our 7pm service we baptised 8 people who have given their lives to Christ in the last few months.

On the 18th April at our 7pm service we baptised 25 people, including 6 from our daughter Church in Streatham.

On the 18th April, Pastor Okusi hosted a Hustings with the thre main political parties.
